I can assure you that the pb300 glue is not a bonding agent. It is more like rubber cement. It adheres 2 materials together via contact. It does not vulcanize the material at all. It dries flexible and "melts" when heated. (not really melts but becomes runny again)

The m.e.k. is used to clean the surface of contamination and can also be used as an activator with pb300. To assist in the hardening phase of the bond.

Well the 465 are pvc, so if all else fails with the nitrile gloves I can fall back on those.

I don't know anything, but I would assume that scuffing with sandpaper and acetone could be in place of the m.e.k.?

Yes acetone can be used as a cleaner as well. M.E.K. is some NASTY stuff. Use in a well ventilated area.

I am unsure if acetone can be used as an activator with pb300. But I do know it can be used as a substitute for cleaning.

Do you think the stuff DRIS sells is just repackaged PB-300?

Great info. We actually have a pair of the 460's here at the shop I just found....go figure. I need one that the liner removes anyway.

Still not sure how the glue will react to the nitrile? I looked up how to glue nitile and crazy glue keeps coming up of all things.

You may be able to rip the yellow acrylic liner out of the 460 glove...don't know if it will be usable as an underglove afterwards though.

I am unsure if it is rebranded pb300. Give them a call.

If you are set on using 720's. The easiest way to get there would be to buy the Ultima ring system and change the neoprene wrist seals to latex. (I say change the seals because I do not know if the Ultima rings would seal with a neoprene wrist seal.) If they were compatible, you would be able to just buy the ring system and a set of 720's. No cutting, no gluing, no heating, just good old fashioned manual labor. Voila, you now have your end result. Dry gloves without hacking up your suit.

We use them for messing with liquid propane....not sure my boss would like that too much!

I have the 465 on the way anyway.

I will say, the 720's are worth whatever investment you need to make. I have over 75 shore dives with rocky entries and exits and no leaks. My old 660's only lasted 10 to 12 dives before needing replacement. I carry a back up pair just in case, I've thought about changing them out. But now I'm in it to see how long they will last before failing.

My neoprene wrist seals have the smooth liner on the inside. I have read that the smooth liner would have to be on the outside (and folded in to seal) to get any ring system to work. The only ring system that would work (that I can't find any reviews on) is made by Northern Diver;

Here is an interesting website comparing MEK and Acetone:

Interesting reads. I read the 1st, skimmed through the second. I believe m.e.k. and the acetone are both just used to clean the surface of the pvc (as is the purple primer for pipe). I'm not sure how the nitrile will react to scuffing and then gluing....one can only hope. I'll try it on the pair of gloves that doesn't fit. I'll glue the glove to itself, wait 24hours and see if I can pull it apart.
