if you are going to get a Rolex diving watch you get the DeepSea - as that even has the adjustable strap so you can wear it over your dry suit.

The Submariner has an adjustable strap as well.

As a certified watch snob i do not believe in pushing bottons if I want to know what time it is.
So hears what I'm experimenting with right now, and why it works for me.

a quartz battery powered watch will keep time for years without sunlight or movement. It's inexpensive so if it dosen't survive the environment, I wont be heartbroken.

Often durring deco my tummy says hey what time is it in the real world.

So yah what makes a great dive watch?

The Submariner has an adjustable strap as well.

the adjustable strap is built into the clip of the watch. Not an additional purchase ... I have not seen a strap from/made by Rolex that would fit over a dry suit cuff (dry glove ring)

Exactly. There's not a bracelet on the market that fits over a drysuit. The diver's extension on bracelets are for wetsuits. If someone wants to wear a watch over a drysuit, they'll need to swap out to a very long rubber strap or an extra long NATO/Zulu.
