I HATE headlamps. Only because when you look at your buddy you blind them. Got to admit would be go to have at night if i wanted to take photos.

Before diving, I will ask my buddy to turn off the light after he is done looking at whatever he was looking. My buddies all do that and I don't have a problem with it. Just set your ground rules before the dive.

Hey Beach Crabs,

Me and my buddy Joey are diving Vets tonight @ 8:30. Anyone else wanna join us ? Anyone ? Anyone ?

--Neil

Yes. I'll bring my regular night dive buddy at the beach by 8:00pm. I hope to see you there.

I guess that would work. ive found out though most things i ask of people to do under water they forget about only because they get cought up in the moment

Where and what time exactly will you be in CDM? I'm trying to decide to drive up to Redondo or stay local tonight.

We went about 3:00PM, vis was bad but the neck seal holds!

Thanks! I'll try to dive Vet this Sunday morning to get familiar with it before doing a night dive. Haven't done a dive there yet. Is it pretty easy to find a buddy there on weekends?

It's a pretty boring dive during the day. It drops to about 30-35 feet until you hit the end of the pier, then it starts on a steep downward slope to infinity. All sand, no rocks, and at 65 feet, if you turn left and swim for a few minutes, you'll come across a bunch of cinder blocks used to make a habitat/monument.

It makes for a pretty easy dive most of the time though, you'll be familiar with it after half a dive.
