Forecast for this weekend is looking pretty good (well, good enough) and I haven't gotten wet in weeks (except for that one time in the shower).

Anyone heading out? I am pretty much up for anything...North shore, Rhode Island, the Cape. May have a buddy for Sunday, but no place picked out yet, and would like to get out Saturday as well.

Cool!

Heading out a bit earlier.. Meeting up at the BK on 128 at 10:00am and planning on hitting Folly.
Water temp is still in the 40s and air should be up in the 30s tomorrow :)

OGB was beautiful on sunday. The vis was the best I've ever seen there... clear detail to at least 20 feet, and I could easily make out shapes at 35-40. While I unfortunately didn't think to take it on the reef where there were objects to use as a reference, here's a shot of the sand at 15' taken from the surface

and another of a northern cerianthid taken using the internal flash on my digital camera.

Notice the lack of any backscatter.

Nice pics! Visibility was just as good at Folly, I sure could get used to it. Temps were 39deg and saw 37 deg near the end of the wall with the incoming tide.

Thats worth getting chilled for. Always love the tourqoise blue tinge to the winter water.

Nice pics to capture that.
