What a difference
My son and I dove Lake Lanier yesterday (during the week) at Coney Island and the vis was about 8'. We were down about 20' most of the time and we could see better then ever. We picked up some treasures to take home after the big 4th weekend. Saw a few fish and we ran into a few long & deep drop offs. I don’t like them since I can’t see the bottom. What I thought was cool was the big cat fish holes. Should have brought the camera.

Always looking for fun things to do.

I have found the same thing to be true, Stiltwalker. It is amazing how much boats stir up the lake on weekends. It's good to hear you found stuff to see.

Im going to try and make it sat am. What is am to you? 8 or so? Will you be in a boat or by land and what goes on there? My son and I will most likely be there.

Two Mile Creek Park is located at the end of Bethel Rd. I believe it's on the north west end of the lake looking at your map of Lanier, it should show it, but I am not for certain of the exact location. I will be going into the water from the shore at the park. I'll be driving a Black Toyota Camry. There should really be no one there at that time of day stirring up the water. I should be there by 8-8:30 at the latest. I'll put a flag in the water when I get there, so I should be easier to spot.
It will take me some time to gear up since I'm diving in a drysuit. I won't be diving too deep, since I am still learning about using the drysuit.
I found 2 complete fishing rods and reels there about a month ago in 30 feet of water when I was diving in a wetsuit. They probably could be cleaned up somewhat and used by someone.
Hopefully, I will see you there in the a.m.

John, I'll see you there I'll be in a small 17 ft light blue, four winns boat. I should be there by 8:30 am. See ya then.

Carl ,I'll be at Two Mile Creek. I'll probably be there around 9:30a.m. The reason for the change is I'm going to the 10:15 p.m showing of the Batman movie with my son tonight. So I won't be getting back to the house before about 12:30- 1:00a.m. I need to get some sleep and throw my gear in the car and head that way from Tucker about an hour away. So if 9:30-10:00a.m. is OK, I will be there then

Hey Borg
It was nice meeting and talking with you this morning. You need to go out with us soon on the boat. After we left you we went to the cove and boy did we hit the honey hole. We anchored off in 5' of water with a very rocky bottom. We had great viz since it was rocky, if you steered up the silt it laid right back down. Very good for just cruising the bottom. We went down and the first stump we hit, we found 2 plow anchors and 2 flute anchors. All like new. They will be on E-bay Sunday. In all, we found 7 anchors, a nice magma stainless boat grill, a pair of Oakley sunglasses and. We were there about 2 hrs and were just worn out from going down and coming up so many times. We are going back next week during the week when there is no boat traffic. We took some pictures of just good old brim and bass and some stumps to show my wife what it looks like under the water.

Lets get together soon.

Always looking for fun things to do:)
