Actually, a three inch blade is better for shucking scallops.Soggy:Number 51 is all you need to carry diving. Those big pointy knives don't really do much unless you are shucking scallops underwater
I buy $5.00 steak knives by "victorianox" or something like that.
Snap off the tip hit it with the grinder
Stick it in a $15.00 dollar Halcyon knife sheath.
And I tell you what, there is not a better dive tool made.
This thing will cut 2" webbing in one slice.
I recently used it to cut a 2" thick mooring rope and it was near effortless.
Mono fishing line and nets are like warm butter.
Plus if you lose it it is only $5.00 to replace.
The biggest problem with this knife is you must show it respect as it is a capable of cutting you severly.:14:
