Going to Gulfshores, Al the week of 8/15/05, can anyone recommend a dive Co. and trip near the Phoneix 10 Condos?

Hi Mark,
Welcome aboard.
Will you be by yourself or in a group? Do you want to dive a big boat with lots of divers and supervision or a small boat where you're essentially on your own... or something in between? Gulf Shores can accomodate just about any style you want.
Down Under Dive Shop is who I'd recommend for most beginners...

Down Under's got a nice boat. It's a large Netwon Dive Special.

I think some folks like Gary's Gulf Diver also.

You will want to contact the Down Under Dive shop located in Gulf Shores. These guys are top notch all the way and should be able to set you up for a dive trip. Tell them Velie sent you

Down Under has a great operation, like everyone else has already stated. Gary's is closer to the Phoenix condo's, I've yet to use them though.
