You hunt alone. In Mellows defense this is Lobster hunting and losing track of your buddy is common. We all strive to get better at keeping track but it is a long slow learning curve for most. I personally lose my buddy often when hunting but we always go over the "plan" to regroup before the dive.

Peace

No need to come to Mellow Yellows defense, this was my fault. He thumbed up and signalled me to stay down. I waited a few minutes for him, he didn't return, so I figured he thumbed the dive. So, I just went on bug hunting and heading toward shore ( England I think....lol...current screwed me all up) Ah well, at only 30 feet deep I didn't worry much about it, but I know..I really should have surfaced and looked for him.
My bad...I'll be a better buddy next time..promise. But you can be sure that at deeper depths I'm right next to you at all times!
I agree.. a re-group plan next time.

Current was pretty bad, but aside from that Magnolia was as good as it gets - and no sweltering between dives!

I lost Jchaplain at one point; when I surfaced to look for him, a lobsterman called me. His propeller got wrapped in a rope, and he asked me to cut it free. In return, he towed me to where Jchaplain's bubbles were (way too far for me to see!), and gave me a buouy float. Apparently my flag dips under water too easily, so he recommended putting that float on it.

That was VERY cool to see such freindly lobstermen! One of my biggest fears out there is getting buzzed by angry lobstermen or scallop boats.
Yeah, the current was NASTY.....I'm a little sore today from all the kicking!
Of course if I had stayed closer to shore.....duh.....
