About diving the East side, I just found this LiquidAsset video on YouTube of Memo from Aldora explaining how they explored it. Don't know when it was shot.
YouTube - East Side Gold

HA! I haven't watched that in awhile. Great to listen to Memo and see everyone who was there. Even Bosh!
Thinking about when it was shot - I couldn't get too close to a date, but it was 2007 or 2008, to be sure...
I kept shouting names as I was watching. Even had some guesses on who those old-timers were.

Speaking of which - you got to dive with Dario?!?
I met him almost two decades ago when I was a baby diver. He DMed a trip a couple of years ago, and once we were in the water, I knew exactly who he was! We had fun sharing memories, then at Mr. Sancho's, he and Memo told me old dive lies from the Cozumel wild West days. They were crazy times!
I'm going to drive myself crazy reading all your stuff...

Yes, they called in Dario a few days before Christmas, we dove Palancar Caves and San Francisco Wall. Me in my 5mm fullsuit, him in his swimming trunks. Nice guy and great cricket finder.
I enjoyed his lead, but then I could say that about all the other guides of Aldora.

About the video : I tried real hard, but Memo and Bosh are the only ones I recognized for sure… as well as the eagle ray on the office wall !

Don't drive yourself crazy, come on down ! Think Carnival, rays, bull sharks…

Wanna front the $900 it'll take to get there from Atlanta?!?

Saw Chino, Gato, office-David, Liang and, of course, Hurrican.... Was thinking about watching it some more to see who else popped up briefly.

Do a search on kayak.com. I found several flights on AA for USD 539 RT from Atlanta to Cancun for your dates. If you pm me your email address, I can send you the result of my search.

Great video! I hope to use the reservation I have with them, the only problem with that is that means it will be a closed port on the westside. Rob Peter to pay Paul I suppose. I am charged for the dive though those cannon look cool.

Firstdive, you are NOT gonna be praying for a Norte while I'm there, now are you ? :angrymob:

Sweety, you'll just have to come dive the other side that day.;):D I'll video the dive for ya. How's that?

Sounds like a plan. I'll sing in the shower to bring out those clouds :D

So, we were in Coz this past week and a Norte rolled in the day we were flying out. Our bad luck that we missed it by a day....we were really hoping for some east side diving with Aldora. The west side was rough and ugly, while below is a picture of what the east side looked like. Rumor has it that a crazy canuck was on one of these boats. I have to also wonder if a semi crazy Frenchie wasn't on one as well. So where are the reports you two? It was great meeting you both, as well as at least two other ScubaBoard regulars. It was a fantastic week of diving....I just wish it had lasted one more day so we could have been on one of these boats as well. Valentines day got in the way......damn you Hallmark! :)
