Diving Close To Merida...

Happy New Year To All !!!

I plan to be in Merida the first week of April and interested in a quick dive. Anyone know of a good area close to Merida / Progreso without having to drive to Cancun.

I'd like to see the response to 'diving in the Merida area' from someone local. I've been to Progresso and Celestun and found the water to be 'zero vis' in both locations. I didn't even consider it a dive possibility. If there is something in the area I would be interested to hear about it. Please post a response if you get one.
