Hmmm... the rocks were moved at least a year ago, but the big one I'm thinking of was left right in front of the stairs but a little further out. I consider it a PITA especially when there is surge at low tide. That's the one I thought you meant had been rolled out... I liked them much better when they were right under the lip of the stairs.

...... I "think" that there is a map showing the underwater stuff like Jacque Cousteau's plaque, a couple of wrecks, etc. It probably wouldn't be bad to obtain this map and do some UW navigation exercises......

Yes indeed. You can virtually dive Casino point with our dive simulator.

If you have already installed the simulator, just click here to launch a virtual dive.;)

Regards,

Wow, "fnfalman", why so negative? I'm just a noob diver and only been diving 3 years with just 113 (106 So.Cal.) dives and 23 at the "point" and I still find the park a fun place to dive and still find new things to see. Guess, I got a few more dives to do 'till I hit Dr.Bills numbers.... ;-0
We all have our own favorites. I get tired of Casino Point easily. If you and Dr. Bill find diving there entertaining after many dives, then more power to you. I'm stating my opinion, not "fact".

I do believe we're talking about the same thing. As you heading down the star into the water, there is a rock to the left and another one about maybe 5-ft out on the right? And when you come in to get out of the water, that rock that used to be on the left is now in the middle.

It's no big deal to a diver with a few dives under the belt, but I've seen several students get slammed into it by the waves at low tide.

So, does that mean we will get to meet you tomorrow at the park?:D

Just got back, rinsed the gear and ready to crash out.... but I wanted to be the first to say thanks to all I just met for a brief conversation to those I had the joy of diving with.... Had a blast!!!! Jim, Dan, Nick, Nicole, Steve.... thanks for diving with me.... I look forward to diving with any of you ...... Good nite.

The winds are howling this morning but I haven't gone down to the dive park yet to see how bad the waves are. My guess is that no one is diving today, but we'll see.
