I've already posted this question on the general dive forum, and someone suggested making it region-specific, so here goes: I'm going to Anacapa on August 9th, a full moon, and a really strong shift between daytime low and high tides predicted. I know that some dive desinations are really tide-dependent (anywhere where drift diving is the norm). Does anyone know how tidal currents effect diving in Anacapa, and whether or not abnormal tides mean that there'll be a risk that some of the sites (particularly interested in Cathedral Cove and the sea lion rookery) will be swept out and undiveable. I'd have no problem rescheduling if neccessary.
