I was trying to get an answer from them with no luck... I heard
that divi have lockers but do i need a padlock ?

second ... is 100$us bills a problem in bonaire ?

thanks for your help ...

Stayed at Divi last year. Bring your own lock.

Don't know about the benjamins in Bonaire - one thing is that I think most places give guilders in return. Not sure though if most merchants will accept that high of a bill. If it were me and I had to use cash, I'd try to find smaller bills. Better yet, I'd go with plastic.........

Someone else may have a better answer...

You need to bring your own locks for the dive lockers at the Divi.

Regarding money, personally I would bring smaller bills.

JF..$100 bills generally would be a problem on the island. I suspect that if you're staying at a large hotel they may take them.. I've had people accept them, but my advice would be to use $20's & your credit card.

thanks guys .... i ' ll be there saturday afternoon by jamaica air ...cant wait :D

The Divi lockers accept smallish locks...bring your own or the dive shop sells them for a few bucks. Last year this time I was able to use $100 bills several times for dinner tabs, but you'd be better off with smaller bills or plastic. I found no places we went to that refused plastic.

...i am loading up the truck and i drive to jfk today ... flying tomorow morning
8am ...

thanks guys

i'm goooooooooooone

Actually, the only places you can change a $100.00 bill is either the casino at Divi or at any bank. If your bill at a larger restaurant is close to $100.00, they may change it, but normally it is very difficult to find anyone who will take a $100.00 US bill, forget about a $50.00 too.

It is best to bring $20.00 bills, this way you will not have any problems.

Best bet...leave most of your cash home, bring only enough for the travel the a littlle m ore for the first couple of days on bonaire, or bring credit cards. There are ATMs all over the place. You can get either American or Antillean Guilders. The banks here do not charge to withdraw money from an ATM, but check with your bank to see of they do.

Do the dive ops generally accept US dollars? Like the first morning for the Marine Park tag - do you need to rush from the red eye to get some guilders to pay for it?
