Agree with chief, looks like a not so close encounter
 
There's no way a whale shark could swallow a person. Plankton eaters have very narrow throats.
 
Oh, I hate that. Whale sharks have huge mouths, but that diver would have to be a 6 month old baby to fit that pic. No way. My first encounter with one was at the mouth end but he just swam past me.

I'd hate to see those fake pics go viral. The Dominoes are such gentle giants.
 
I do not think it is real. Also, thought there is no diving with the whale sharks in Mexico. You would have to go to Utila or Belize to find much of that.

Even there it erroneously says whales sharks are "vegetarian" and "the relieved diver escaped from the encounter" - what escape? No way a scuba diver could keep up with a foraging Domino the way they are in those waters.
