I'm sure you meant feet not inches! :mooner:
How much gear do you have!!!!!
rather how many dives can you fit in a day?
assuming a 2' sidewall on a 5 x 10 trailer... that's 100 cuft of gear!! :11:
ha! Simply mount a HP120 tank and compress your gear!!!
(sorry
)
ok being serious now... some real ideas...
put an upright wall down the center line of the trailer front to back to divide the trailer into 2 parts (one side for you, one for your buddy), make it say 3 feet high so your tanks will fit nicely against it and not hit the lid, now run an 18" side wall all the way around and hinge a lid of each side so that they clip together in the middle. Tanks go down the middle against the wall in clips, bungees, whatever (upright and secure)
Have a wet compartment with drain to road and some dry compartments, better still make the compartments fit rubbermaid boxes, drill holes in the wet compartment one, so you can tote your stuff about outside the trailer, for cleaning sorting etc. Keep heavy stuff over the axles and learn to back a trailer. It's not too hard once you figure it out. seeing is the hard part (lower the tailgate on your truck!)
put a couple of good locks on the trailer, and a few coats of paint, then sell the space to your LDS as cheap advertising for favors!
Good luck!

As you may remember, I have been on this project.
If you want to pack at least two full sets of gear, you need to get at least 5"x10" size. Otherwise, you can't organize your gear in the trailer except just packing up all gear. And, most small SUV only can handle less than 1500 lb (Max), so you can't go beyond 5x10 size without having a separate trailer brake and I'm stupid cooler.
Based on my research, the most ideal size is 6x10 or 6x12 with a ramp gate, trailer brake and I'm stupid cooler. It will be about $3K for the brand new one and $2K in the used one.
Just my 2 bar...
