Anyone going? My buddy just bagged on me. I think I might go up to Cape Ann anyways.

Perpet1 and I met at Burger King and headed up to peruse the coast. Luckily Bass Rocks looked decent since I really had my heart set on going there. We geared up and headed under. Vis was about 10' with noticable surge close to shore. Lots and lots of crabs but not many bugs. We saw some biggies but they were eggers. Got two legal bugs and we headed back up to the cars to re-fuel.
I chose to do another dive with perpet1 watching me from shore. He made the right choice in not doing another dive. Not much more to see but I got another two bugs. I did however do a good deed. I was swimming along and saw a BIG egger bug with bands on her claws (
) I cut them off and put her back in her hole. Yah, we divers are pure evil. Those commercial guys NEVER break the law. Oh well, at least now she can defend herself.
All in all, nice to be wet again and perpet1 is a great buddy Hopefully we can do this again.
