Dive Tender training?

I was recently contacted by a local volunteer fire department dive team about dive tender training. He didn't have a much info about the course other than it was for non-divers having enough knowledge to assist dive teams. Does anyone know if one of the PSD agencies teaches a course similar to this? I'm not wanting to instruct it, just give him an idea of where to head looking for it. Thanks for any info you can send my way.

I think they all do. I know Dive Rescue International does.

I"m definitely not taking it lightly, I immeadiately pointed out that I wasn't qualified to do a course in it but would like to assist or even take the class with them.
