dive sites in April ( april 1 - 8) Kauai

Hi,
I have been reading throughout this thread learning about the dive ops and sites. We are going to Kauai beginning April. Staying 2 miles from the Airport launi? South west side. I have read tunnels is a good shore dive, is it doable in April. What other areas can be dove. I read already no chance of the forbidden island that time of year.

Depending on conditions I would not rule out Niihau. If mother nature permits we are all very anxious to be diving Niihau again. It is without a doubt the best diving in Hawaii. The trips are all 3 tank full day advanced trips FYI. On the south shore Sheraton Caverns is an awesome boat dive with literally dozens of turtles - some upwards of 200-250 lbs. It's a great spot for Commersons Frogfish and Moray Eels as well. Turtle Bluffs is a great spot for the whole array of marine life and frequented by Whitetip reef sharks. Tunnels will be hit and miss in April though it is generally getting underway in early April. April and May it has whitetips in the lava tubes there with great frequency.
