As far as my needing to chill, uh...no, sorry. They were total dicks from the moment we walked in.

Also, the tanks were 2 years out of VIP. That is a fact.
Screw em'

Having been a DM in Cayman (and yes I know Nancy and Divetec very well) I'm surprised you would see a VIP sticker that showed two years out of date. Given the heavy use on Cayman I found it impossible to have the VIP stickers last even three months no matter where I put them....

I also feel if you called Nancy she would appreciate hearing from you.

The stickers were 2 years old. I know what that looks like. (PSI tank inspector #17468)

The VIP stickers had nothing to do with my bad experience there. I was more put off by the rudeness of our greeting and the vagueness of the briefing we recieved on arrival. I was also given information about "tech" diving there that contradicted what I had been told over the phone.

No one is more upset than me that we had a bad time with Divetech. That happens somtimes. I am sure they are a great outfit and from the raves I see here many divers find them a top-notch operator. My tech instructor swears by them and I find it hard taking a contrary position to her.

But I was put off. Perhaps that was because Nancy was away. I don't know. I will say that many of the shop personel were quite pleasant and we had some great dives. I just expected more from them.

I vote with my feet and after a week at Divetech I decided to walk away and never go back.
