I am just curious, why do dive shops prefer to send out tanks for Hydrotesting instead of geting licensed to do it themselves? It seems to me that this is a untapped stream of income for many of them. What are the main reasons preventing this? As a person who has stood up three and managed two hydro facilites, I can testify that the process is not to difficult. The buisness from Scuba, SCBA, Fire extinguishers, paintball, beverages, etc, will quickly pay for the equipment. Please chime in, inquiring minds want to know?
