My buddy Rick Rowett is having the Grand Opening of Deep Blue Adventures this Saturday, Dec 14th. 4-8pm at 5775 Pacheco Blvd in Pacheco, CA (near Walnut Creek, yeah I had to google it too) This is the previous location of the Anchor Shack. Some may know Rick from the 20+ years as the general manager at Dolphin in Sacramento and also Pinnacles in Navato. They are still working on their web presence, so just helping get the word out.

Since Rick is a tech instructor, they will soon have trimix fills, which seem to be getting harder to find around here, along with rebreathers and DPVs in addition to all the standard dive equipment. I'll be there for the event with a Genesis 3.1, if anyone wants the ultimate diver Xmas gift, or to just BS for a few hours.

What else are you gonna do on a cold rainy Saturday?

Thanks for this post! I'm just a few miles away from the old Anchor Shack but ended up going through Rick @ Pinnacles at the beginning of 2023 to get OW certified because their schedule worked for us. Love the people I've met through Novato but would love to have a "home" shop nearby to get more diving experience with.

Awesome, I was just googling for dive shops in the area like two days ago and this popped up but didn't have much info so I wasn't sure what the deal was.

@Jon Nellis Will you be there the entire time, 4-8pm? I have a 7 year old 1200 that I've been thinking of modernizing :)

That's the plan! ...and good timing, I have another Genesis owner dropping off his 1200 for a Warp Core upgrade.
