Back to OP: I dive single (and occasionally with a pony). I, too, was deliberating on whether I needed the Trek wings, but I went with Venture since I'll never be diving doubles. I've had over 20 dives on the Venture wings now - it's not that big, so it won't flop around even when fully deflated. If you're concerned about streamlining, the Travel wing has 30# lift too, and has an elastic shell that streamlines it better.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but does anyone know if I would be able to attach a venture wing to a cheap plastic backpack like this: Sea Elite Backpack

as long as it has the standard 11" bolt hole centers I'd say yes. As far as the Trek for singles, I had it and really feel it was not well suited. I'm waiting for my Venture to arrive, I hope its better. I use an OMS wing of death for my doubles.

This is an INSANE deal!

I ordered a red venture wing this morning. They have red and blue left - out of black. My Travel Wing is black. I wanted something RED.

This sale is because DR is modifing the Venture Wing and dumping the old stock. No info on the changes. DRexpress said they're minor.
