Just who is saying the HOG regs don't perform. Have they actually tried them? And what regs do they own? There are divers doing 200plus feet dives on them and trusting them thousands of feet back in caves. HOG is still getting a bad rap in some circles from shops that don't like you being able to bypass them for service, divers who are a bit ticked that they paid double or more for their regs when they could have gotten HOG's, and from those who are just repeating what a "friend" heard or said. Mine have not been to 200 feet yet but they have been to 150 in 38 degree water. And under the ice. And in water so full of silt doing a pond inspection I was using my fingers to see. And have had zero issues with them. During a recent tech workshop out of 9 divers I counted 6 with one or more HOG or Edge Gear (HOG recreational line) regs on their mains or stages. Shoot me a pm or call me after 4pm eastern for more details.

Mako- I have used the HOG regs and also the DR regs they are both great performers. My primary reg I dive everyday is a Hurricance, while my sidemount regs are the 3000's (these are starting to get a bit more use lately). My doubles regs are HOGS and they are very good. You would not go wrong with any of them. Divegear express is a DR dealer not sure why they do not have the Hurricane in stock but they are available from any dealer who orders them.
