Cord snapped off my pull dump on my Rec Wings last week while diving. Can I fix this myself or should I call Dive Rite and order a replacement?

Either way, the fix is easy. The string runs through the ball, the dump cover, spring then the dump seal. Unscrew the assembly then, carefully pry the rubber face off this last piece and thread through a new piece of cave line. Tie a new knot then use a dab of Aqua-Seal to hold the rubber pad back down. Thread the line through the remaining pieces, including or excluding the little ball on the end, an screw it back together.
