3 dives:

Morning 9am: Alhambra (closer to shore). Viz 4-8. Some drift sea weed. Minimal to no silt. New fossil beds are opening up in that area :) Some fossil beds were only 10X10, but produced some really nice small stuff and even meg fragments. Recommend doing some hunting (found a full meg and fragments off shore in areas never found anything before (closer in) !).

Afternoon dives: KAYAK diving off Golden Beach then working my way North of Alhambra to check out new areas (more towards Venice Beach). Viz was 8-12+ in spots. Max depth 29 ft.

Seas were relatively flat for the most part (some 1ft (maybe 2) swells now and again). Winds moderate (5-10?). Current was minimal (more like NorthWest to SouthEast moving????_

Water temp was 70F for majority of dive.

Lots of nice finds (will post more later).

Bottom line: Shore and boat diving are and probably will be really good this week! (and I am writing this from work! :( ).

Did a St. Patricks Day dive this morn at S. Brohard. Winds out of the east, water calm, incoming tide, water temp 73 & viz is around 8 - 10 ft. Lot's of snot in the water though.

Beautiful dive, slight E->W wind.... great day to get out and find some teeth. I saw about 3 other dive boats, unfortunately one decided to come quite close (within feet) to my boat/dive flag as they set up right next to us. (FINGER SHAKE IF YOU READ THIS!!) Otherwise uneventful
