The 911 schooner, how could I not recognize it. You and I went there in June.
We call it the 911 because we first dove it on 9/11/03. I have since found that there are a few others that have been on it years ago.

I figured you'd nail it the second you saw the copper fastener. :D

Good dive. We hit it at slack. Lots of "stuff" to check out. As you know she is quite broken up so running a line is a good idea. Capt. Gordon of Canned Air got to the site just before us and had us tie off to his vessel -Thanks Capt.
We had vis of about 15-20' with the strobe visible to about 30, of course one does not depend on the strobe to get back to the line, hence the use of the line if you want to explore away from the main wreckage. Max depth 130fsw.

The first time I ever dove her, I dropped a grappling anchor time after time without success. In desperation I switched back to a Danforth and it fetched right up! Go Figure. I like to dive it every couple of years in remembrance to a good friend and dive buddy who is no longer with us.

I love it, the best part of the video is the choice on song, great tribute to the great E.F. Being a Michigan boy I didn't think I'd hear that song out here. Nicely done (and another great vid) thanks RIo

Glad you liked the musical selection. I always felt that was a pretty powerful song, especially given the true story that inspired it.
