Went out with Rob R and Ted today to Pt Lobos (Thanks Rob L.)

Initially we were going to do the Breakwater but with one dropout (yeah you know who you are) we had a 3 man team and into Lobos we went.

Typical BW scene

Onto Lobos
Arrived about 920 to a bunch of divers swimming out to the Beach Hopper 2
So with the boat there inside the cove we didn't want to jump right in (just to get mowed down) so we slowly prepped for the dive.... we kicked out to about a little past the point and dropped amongst the moon jellies and into a pretty swift current....

Bubble Checks

The kelp was at a 45 degree angle and pulling us out to sea. The initial plan to do S-drills but after out drift air shares we headed for the structure for a bit more sheltered. After a nice tour of the wall we kicked in to the cove and for some valve drills and valve drills... Pretty good dive over all.

Here's the profile... after the initial descent a a minute or two to stabilize we started the S-drills in the current. Didn't even try to fight it.... we were moving pretty good going out of the cove and deeper.... started at 40 ended up in 60....

Unfortunately this is where the battery dies so this is also the end of the report... Maybe Cave Diver Ted can fill in the blanks.

Ben

Sorry I usually have plenty of pictures embedded in my reports... but SB now doesn't let me do what I used to be able to.... I have a better report on another board ;)
