RPR? really? what for? and how much extra does it cost? And regarding the stress test, it's a pretty standard recomendation for anyone over a certain age who is now starting a new exercise regimen. It's a oretty general screening test for exercise tolerance, the age where you starting screening is debated some say 40, some 45 or older, but I would get one in a 50 year-old if he hadn't had one.

JA got it I heard the same from one of my Docs. We (who wear the salad suit) have usually been stress tested by virtue of our daily PT regeim. RPR I am not sure exactly why I guess the don't want us going insane under water hehe it is same for the HALO (high alt. Low opening paratrooper) side. Anyway My opinion was based on what I have seen and done, 20-30 year old studs already super fit just trying to push the limits Type A's. Thanks for the input it reminds me there is another world and not be so tunnel visioned.

yeah, that's also part of why the USN dive tables, are not conservative enough for general rec use. They're based on these same peak conditioned 20 year-olds. Rather then the overweigh 30 somethings like me.

Concur with all of Babar's comments. Hello Babar. Would that mean you are finishing at the U of P hyberbaric program?

Just to reemphasize to all that the criteria for sport diving is different from commercial or military diving.

Yes, indeed. Almost done.

Wonderful. While diving medicine is but one part of hyperbaric medicine, what often occurs among recreational and technical divers suggest more is going on that what is suggested by the literature.

Dr. Bove is setting up something involving us all to increase patient case studies for the weekly conferences held there. We may meet before you graduate.

Meanwhile, if you and the other fellows are interested, I've been collecting cases, following up on them via email, and occassionally in person:
