I am sure most people by now have read The Last Dive. The story was good, but in my opinion, could have been told in a better way. With that being said, I just picked up a book called Shadow Divers. It tells the story of the German U-Boat, and in a much better way. The only copy I found was in large priint, and it made it about 550 pages, but I couldnt put it down. I bought it on Wednesday night, about 7:00 PM. I started in on it that night, and I just finished about 20 minutes ago (1:30AM) on Friday morning. If you are interested in the story and history of the German U-Boat, I highly recommend this book.

If you enjoyed the book you might also like the special Nova did about the divers and the sub. It's called Hitler's Lost Sub.

I have heard about the special, and would like to see it.

I have 2 copies - one I bought and one my son-in-law had autographed for me by Robert Kurson when he was at the Sprint Hdqrts in Overland Park. I will share the one I bought but the other copy is very special.
