Become an instructor close to home (if your home happens to be Kanto Japan)
Now that we have a NAUI instructor trainer on site (me), the staff at DDT is proud to announce that we are now able to provide scuba training up to the Instructor level, in conjunction with our colleague Doug Bennet (NAUI Course Director) at Reef Encounters in Okinawa.
Candidates will be able to conduct the preparation and the "front end" of instructor training here in the Tokyo/Kanagawa/Izu area at their own pace. Once ready, the candidates will have two options open to them as a NAUI Course Director (Doug) would have to perform the final evaluations; candidates could make a short trip to Okinawa, or Doug can be brought up here.
While we have neither the ability nor desire to become an "instructor mill", we aim to provide quality pro-level training and mentorship to small numbers of motivated candidates.
Since we expect the number of candidates to be modest, training and timing are flexible. Please contact Jim to inquire.
