Home Depot has tarp bungees with about 2' of 1/8" black on an orange ball. Don't reemember the price exactly but it was under $10 for a dozen.

$4.75, I bought 3 of those little plastic tubs full of them, out of the tub they are the perfect length, just snip off the ball!!!
(and they are DIR black)
