Another problem with the EOS is you cannot open the cap of the second stage easily (can't disassemble easily like a Delta4).
A Fx10/delta4.1 should work much better as a 7' hose can easily be used.
Now, about the Fx10 first stage, it should be 'DIR' ok, but has some pros and cons which might not please purists - the DVT is one, but also the shape of the first stage makes it difficult to put it up side down (better to avoid your head hitting the reg). Indeed, in this case, the HP port points somehow to the sky, and routing the HP hose looks weird. It can be fixed with a 90deg pivot swivel ... but then it's back to the no-no of using a swivel configuration.
If you keep the first stage 'up', then it's not pb, and delta4, Hog, or G250, etc second stages... should be DIR friendly.
