I have no problems with my 80lb Halcyon, but I don't think the bigger one, or a Carter, would fit in the pack.
Divers without the pack simply fold it and place it between the plate and their back.

On the inflation issue, I was just reminded of a "Georgism" from Quest last year...

"Disconnecting anything to inflate a bag is a CF waiting to happen".

IOTW, George does not approve of Halcyon's closed-circuit bags.

Clearly you've never orally inflated one of the closed-circuit bags... IMHO orally inflating is the best method to use when shooting a bag. If you're actually doing some lifting as one of many lift bags then hose inflation would probably be a better option.
