Thanks for the info guys, if there is somewhere on the web where all of this is laid out well, let me know I will read up, I just have not found it.

One more question-
So all DIN valves are not necessarily able to have a manifold inserted between them, is that a correct statement? One has to buy special din valves if one wants to have a doubles manifold.

Say if I was looking at the Halcyon manifold, what type of din valve would I need or would I just go to Halcyon for din valves?

this is a long way off for me, if at all....just wondering.

Correct. DIN vs. Yoke is the connection to the regulator....

Halcyon Manifolds are 300 Bar Din and consist of a right side valve, a left side valve and an isolation crossover....the come O2 clean and with the Sherwood rubber knobs... you could just get plugs as Roak said to use them as single tank valves. I do not recommend this..... as you will need valves for your deco bottles any way when you go to doubles..... best value is buying the Halcyon manifold and bands set together....when the time for doubles comes...if ever. Go with single 300 bar DIN valves at this point.
