Is there a difference in a long hose for a din setup and a standard lp Jose for a yoke setup?

---

I have the same question for the second stage too.

Not really sure what you are asking?

In relation to recreational gear or tech gear.

Rec gear all the hoses and regs are the same setup except how the 1st stage fits onto the tank

I assume in tech gear its the same whether you use DIN or Yoke (I use DIN), long hose and inflator off right post (right shoulder), and pg, short hose (backup) reg on left post

I hope that answers your question

Let me phrase it this way.

Can you take all of the hoses off of a yoke and put them on a din? Are the hose fittings the same?

Wow. Great! Thanks!

Was someone trying to sell you a "special" hose?

No I found a din setup that's got a lp hose that's setup to have a regulator on it. My bc didn't have the reg on it so I would have swap it over.

If they are standard hoses, no problem. The only difference between yoke reg setup and DIN setup is how the 1st stage reg fits onto the tank. All the hoses and secondary reg setup is the same. Any 1st stage reg (whether DIN or Yoke) should take standard HP hose (for air gauge) and LP hoses (for secondary regulators).

The only issue you have sometimes is that some secondary regulators use special (read high priced) hoses that only fit that regulator (but they still fit any 1st stage regulator). I usually pull them off and fit a standard LP hose and end fitting to the regulator so all my hoses are the same and if I am in a remote spot, replaceable if they leak.

Great. I was hoping to achieve the same thing.

Are din tanks common in places like cozumel, Bahamas, and other tropical places? Do they cost more to rent?
