I'm buying my first regulator, and I have one last dilemma: choosing between the MK17 EVO 2 S620TI (830 EUR) and the MK17 EVO 2 S600 (700 EUR). Is the upgrade worth the extra 130 EUR? I know that the S620TI is lighter and has titanium parts.

You would be happy with either but if it depends if you would rather spend 130 on something else. Perhaps on two identical 2nds rather than a lesser octo reg.

The S620ti is not cheap, but I feel you get what you pay for. The performance, as noted above, is slightly better, but the materials and workmanship are a lot better IMHO. I no longer have one, but it is among my favorites. That said, I could be happy with an old 2nd hand S600 as well.

thanks just bought s620ti coz titanium and endurance

Congratulations!!

What are you getting/got for the alternate second stage (octopus)?

Enjoy it! But endurance has more to do with how well you care for it. Pack and dive it carefully to avoid damage, then clean and rinse thoroughly after each day of diving.

17E2 is a solid choice and while I prefer the 600 to the 620 (tunes better) I would have chosen a G260 over either but that’s just me, those are all solid choices.
