So, I noticed something funny about my mask. It's very hard to equalize a mask squeeze with it. It's like the eye chamber and nose chamber are separate. So when I exhale through my nose, the air just flows out beneath the mask. I have to hold the mask and blow forcefully, as if emptying a flooded mask, in order to equalize it.

Other than this the mask has a nice fit, is easy to clear and never leaks. Does anyone have any tips?

The mask is an Atomic frameless, by the way.

Cheers,
Jørgen

Mask squeeze should be easily remedied through a brief exhale through the nose from time to time. Using the same technique as in clearing water from the mask is proper, but you should not need to "forcefully" exhale. Practice will improve your technique. Try equalizing while looking down, that may help.

With my freediving mask I only need to open the airway between my nose and throat and the mask will equalize itself. No such luck with the frameless. Looking down while equalizing might help, though. I'll try that.

sounds to me that the straps are too tight probably??? does the mask fit good to the shape of youre face?

Either that, or you may be too late in equalizing, so the mask is pressed against your face squishing the nose bridge against your face.
