I ordered a Oxycheq 40 Mach V wing and was told that it will only be .5inch longer on the sides and 1 inch long in length than the 30. Also was told it has a built in STA which it does not that I can tell. This wing looks nothing like the pictures you see online...it almost looks like the wider type doubles wing but honestly I have no idea and the only thing written on the wing is the name Oxycheq in yellow and then on the tag it says 42lbs lift. Here are some pictures...I am mainly upset with the non included built in STA...but everything else seems nice.

Looks like they sent you a 42 lb vertex wing instead of the 40 lb mach v singles wing.

AFAIK a "built-in STA" simply means they have cam band holes so that you can strap a tank through the wing instead of needing an actual STA.

that is what I was thinking but those wings look like they are dual bladder with dual inflator....this one definitely does not have the dual inflator.

incorrect. integrated STA includes some sort of means of keeping the tank on the spine of the backplate. In DSS this is a moulded plastic bit that cradles the tank, in Hog it is a set of rods that act as a wedge to keep the tank from slipping off. It is different for all manufacturers. Oxycheq uses a rod method similar to HOG. This wing does not have them.

OxyCheq - OxyCheq 40# MACH V Signature Series Wing
Your wing should look like that. Return and request the correct wing.

Pricing should be no more than $363 for the 40lb regular, or $424 for the 40lb Extreme
Cave Adventurers - OxyCheq MACH V Signature Series Wings in 18#, 30# or 40# - Marianna, Florida USA - Never Undersold!
Cave Adventurers - OxyCheq Extreme Single Tank Wings - Marianna, Florida USA - Never Undersold!

If you look at the pictures on the Extreme series at Cave Adventurers, the second picture shows the back side of the wing. If you zoom in, right above and below the Ad in Adventurers you can see the pockets where the rods have been sewn in to wedge the tank. It is highly recommended that you use sex bolts on the holes in the wing to maintain alignment. It is also VERY VERY VERY important to note that not all backplates have the same cam band spacing, and neither do the wings. If you are using a system without an STA it is critical to make sure that the cam bands spacings line up before purchase if you are not using an STA. This is one of the times that purchasing from the same manufacturer can save a lot of headaches.

I got it for 290 through Golem gear....maybe thats why it was so cheap not the right wing.

Good luck on customer service through GG. They are not famous for it.

good luck dealing with Jakub... I'm sorry for what you're about to go through.

Just got off the phone with Jakub. He asked me to send a picture via text and immediately agreed it is not a MACH V. He said he will ship out the right one immediately with a return label.

I hope you are wrong tbone...lol and this goes smoothly.

As for your comment about the built in STA and making sure the slots line up with whatever backplate....I own a Dive Rite backplate. If it does not line up correct, then an aftermarket STA will correct this?
