Did my hose shrink?

Okay, I'll try this again. Do hoses shrink or was I sold a 20 1/2" HP hose instead of a 22" HP hose?

I guess I'll go measure, then buy, a 24" hose. It should be the perfect size as I've gotten used to wrangling the 20 1/2" hose. Thanks James for the "straight" answer.

Cut the one you originally bought in half, duct tape a 2 inch piece in there, & it'll be close to what you want(I would use black tape to keep the color looking right)-------I believe.....
