Nope, just holding it by the webbing that's coming from the backplate. The other side is still long since I didn't want to cut anything until I've made final adjustments for a 7mm suit.

I do it the same way except USUALLY I fold back that free end and run it back thru the first slot and then inner-tube it to itself. Sometimes, I don't run it thru that slot if there isn't room. In that case I just hold it in place with some inner tube. And then sometimes I just let it be... just the way you have it!

I threaded my buckle a little differently. Since it only has 2 slots on the left hand side, instead of 3, you must thread it differently than the other pics that were posted. I started by going from the front of the buckle through the second slot, underneath and up through the right hand slot, then loop back under the buckle and go up through the first slot on the left. This gets the tail going back to the left, and I secured that to the webbing using one of the pieces of innertube.
