Well maybe I'll show up for a short period. I've still got to work on some stuff for tomorrow. So do we have a the whole pub reserved? :)

We're in the back room and there should be a big dive flag on the door. When you enter the front double doors, hang left and squeeze past the tables and the door to the room is straight ahead. But I suspect we will overflow into the main room.
 
Damn!!!

LaCuda and are here in Utila anxiously following the saga of this social, marathon, get to know each other drinkathon. Now that it is over, I guess no one wants to be the first to say anything. Was it that much fun?? Tell us about it!

WOW, what a turn out we had last night. We packed the back room and had to spill out into the main area where we took over a section there as well. It was great group of people and we all had a REALLY good time...some more than others.

It was great seeing old friends again and meeting new ones. Katie did a fantastic job putting this together. Hopefully she will post the turn-out information. She had put together a 'Sign-In' along with name tags. It was a huge success. Lots of pictures, lots of laughter, and LOTS of GREAT people.

Thanks Katie for making this a huge success. We had a few that traveled quite a ways for this one: ScubaDork, Trimix2dive, and Dutch...it was great seeing you there and looking forward to the next one.

I do know that there were 66 people that signed in and put on name tags. AND there were a lot of people that didn't sign in or wearing name tags. I would venture to say that there were over 80 people there last night for the Happy Hour.

OK Austin - Dallas....see if you can top that.

Rumor has it that a certain Diva will be in Houston March 25th.
 
Wish he had cool scuba happy hours in Lafayette, that will make me think twice next time the boss asks me to transfer to the Houston office.

I think I'm almost fully recovered - what a great turn out. Let me humbly say, though, that I didn't make this event a success.... all of the divers who came out to join us made it a success .... so thank YOU!!!

I think ZD pretty much captured the turn out info. quite well - 66 sign in's, all that said that they want future happy hours, and are interested in local and not-so-local diving.... and many that said that they would like to do non-diving activities with divers (like a baseball game, Moody Gardens, etc.). Very exciting!!

We had folks from scubaboard, CHUM, Lunarfins, zendiving, thedecostop, Houston Underwater Club, Diving Rebels, Hammerheads, & Houston Underwater Photography Society.

Once I figure out how to downsize the pics, I'll post a few.
 
oh yah... and the new club.... "scubachicks"..... LOL ... shame on Julio for buying those tequila shots for us. He does make a good mascot/escort for us though!
