Salut, That is not cheap and that first stage is not like new. Far from it. Given the loss of chrome on the outside one can only wonder what it looks like on the inside. I would return it on principle.
Yes that's what a Friend told me... It sucks
The guy doesnt really want to make a discount as i already had one and he told me it was worth more than that price (because if the second stage , but i dont use it and dont know if if can sell it..)

Thing is it was kinda "good" price as i already spend lot of money for Scuba gear recently and if i return it i don't really have any other solutions.. too late now i guess

He told its 2 years révision has been done in december into a scuba club but no proof or anything so..

No im going to send it back and found another one for 260€ (first stage only) which looks better overall and official revision 2 months ago
Thx for your help guys

Hi guys!
I know this is an old thread . I just wanted to know . Just bought an used first stage FSR from Apeks and just discovered it has a lot of scratches but also chrome is corroded on some parts. Do you think this is bad to use ? Send it back ?
Thx
I am surprised that the seller did not mention it in the first place. That is being dishonest.
The end cap of Apeks FSR is not really critical, it is just to keep the big spring inside free from sea water ie. environmental sealed so it is cold water rated.
My 26 yrs old DS4 is in much much better condition than that.

Good luck to your exchange.

Thanks! Yes at the beggining there was just one pic , i asked for more and it was the good side of the first stage . He told me it was normal after 4 years because of usage but nope , scratches also mean for me that it has fallen many times. So yes maybe it's just chrome outside and everything is fine inside but in doubt...
