I also noticed the 'angle of attack' on the wing is really high... is this to compensate extra lift because the plane is having to trim upwards due to the weight of the camera?

Actually, the "angle of attack" in flight is neutral. Only on the ground does it appear to be aggressive.

The oversized wing surface is the main consideration taken for the weight of the camera.
 
For cryin out loud....is aerodynamics really nonsense????
