Wow Green Eddys!

and Negative prototypes.

Thanks for posting that! I have been waiting for the heavy fins for it seems like forever! I just ordered 2 pairs (for me and my buddy, John).

I am disappointed, though. They call them Heavy Eddy fins. I always thought they should be called the Fat Eddy fins.... lol ;)

Due to an issue that was not MY fault, the fins I got for my friend John were the wrong size and we sent them back.

He needs XL and it looks like Deep6 is now out of those.

Does anybody have a set of the Heavy Eddy fins in XL that they want to sell? I don't think color matters. John likes all kinds of wacky colors on his dive gear.

Related note: I finally dived my Heavy Eddy fins yesterday. It was my first time in a drysuit since I received them.

And they are awesome! I like them a LOT better than my Hollis F1 fins that I have been using for drysuit diving.

I didn't weigh the Heavy Eddy fins, but my feet are normally floaty in a drysuit - which is why I've been using the F1 fins - and they were not floaty yesterday (in a drysuit and my CCR). Or sinky, either.

And it felt like I had WAY more forward thrust than with the F1 fins. I always felt like the F1 fins were soft and didn't give as much thrust as I'd like. But, I chalked it up to being in a drysuit with either double steel tanks or CCR and bailout on.

But, yesterday, the Heavy Eddy fins seemed to put the lie to that. I felt like I had just about as much forward motion for my effort as what I get from my regular Eddy fins, when I'm in a wetsuit.

These fins are just as awesome as the regular Eddy fins - only more negatively buoyant. Now I am even more disappointed that they are not fully in production. :(
