The Hollis 212 seemed to try and force air into my mouth. At depth I had to actually put my tongue against the mouthpiece to try and block the flow of air. No such issues with the Deep 6.

Chris is out diving his regs and fine tuning them.

He has been down the road-done it before-knows what it takes.

Expect the Deep 6 products to continue to get even better, based on direct diver feedback.

I also came from Hollis DC1/212. Couldn't agree more with your statements. I am loving my Deep6 regs. Not to mention the PHENOMENAL customer service by Chris and his team.
What customer service intervention did your regs require?

No customer service intervention needed on the regs. I had called prior to placing the order and Chris took the time to discuss the package with me as well as help me with fin sizing.

I had been wavering on swapping sizes on my fins up to an XL. Chris offered to send me a pair to try and just send back the ones that didn't fit. He has been awesome in answering questions and offering advice.

in fairness..a bunch had a CS intervention over the din o'ring popping out. I sent out everybody that bought a DIN reg the new part to solve the issue and a coffee mug.

We've also screwed up and send a few orders with wrong size fin, and a few with some items missing (mostly sidemount sets because my shipping person was forgetting that one set of sidemount regs means..well two regs not one)

After a shipping-delay hiccup, I received my regulator set, with a new light in the box. The hiccup got a nice quick response. And the regulators are great! I might retire my Atomics.

Good for you. My measure for a "good" company is not if they screw up occasionally, we all do, but rather how they handle the mistake.

Here are a few pictures of my new regs ready to go!

Got it! That was definitely the case with my previous regs. It was really quite unnerving having micro bubbles pushing themselves out of my lips at 100+ fsw. Definitely not the case with these.

The Hollis 212 seemed to try and force air into my mouth. At depth I had to actually put my tongue against the mouthpiece to try and block the flow of air. No such issues with the Deep 6.

Odd. I've been diving a Hollis DC3/212 setup for over 2 years. Never had any issues. Definitely nothing like either of those two descriptions. Did you ever have your regs serviced to make sure it wasn't just an issue with being tuned improperly from the factory?

I have DR XT regs for diving doubles. I noticed a bit of an issue at one point with one of them and had them checked by my local tech. They had simply come from the factory with the IP and cracking pressure not set like they should have been. They have also been perfect ever since getting them adjusted.
