That isn't software you pay for is it? I'd be pretty disappointed if I bought something that said you'd better not use it.

LOL.

Guess you've never read V-planner's Disclaimer :)

I think it's hilarious!

I'm sure Ross won't mind.....

********* WARNING & DISCLAIMER *********
This V-Planner generated dive schedule could indirectly kill you.
The author does not warrant that it accurately reflects the Varying
Permeability Model algorithms, that it won't get you bent or dead, or that it
will produce safe, reliable results. This dive schedule is experimental
and you use it at your own risk. Diving in general is fraught with
risk, and decompression diving adds significantly more risk.
Deep diving utilizing multiple gasses, including Helium, is about
as risky as it gets.

This schedule is not intended for uneducated users. V-Planner and the
decompression schedules it produces are tools for experienced mixed-gas
decompression divers ONLY. If you have not been properly trained in
mixed-gas decompression diving by an internationally recognized technical
certification agency and/or don't have a firm handle on decompression
planning and mixed-gas diving, then DO NOT USE THIS DIVE SCHEDULE.

According to the website, it is both free and open source.

LOL, then I suggest you never buy any deco software.

Here's the disclaimer for ANDI's GAP:

I need to get V-planner for my lastest class ... but rather than downloading it onto my home computer, I want to put it on a laptop that I intentionally do not allow to have Internet access.

Can you purchase it as a CD? And if not, is the application downloadable onto a CD?

The downloadable setup file is only ~1.3M in size ... small enough to copy it onto your favorite media format and transfer to your laptop. Good luck.

i have a question for all the tech divers and just for the computer smart people im looking for a program to do my deco charts on i do them now with table becasue i dont want to pay 80 dollers for a down load i hear about free ones and thats right up my line. i have tryed to do some but they are just trials i know theres one out there im just not computer smart enuff to find it

Honestly, the words "I want to go tech diving", and "I dont want to pay $80 for a deco program" don't really go well together.

if you really want to go tech diving, a $80 expense is the least of your worries.

Instead of the cost, think about what deco application you *want* that gives you the deco *you want to do* and then look for a good price on the short list of apps that you find.

U cant afford a deco program! I don't think you can afford not too!
my 2 cents,

Guys the disclaimer thing is good but I think to many fools dive deco with just a table and no training is well IMO just thinning of the gene pool ,,, for the better!

Dive Safe,Dive Deep,
and have fun with your pee valves!
