I often — for planning — set a different gas with 1% more/less oxygen 1 metre above the bottom gas for zero minutes. This forces MultiDeco to switch from bottom gas to the new one. It then lists the gas volumes meaning you’ve got the total bottom gas separated from the ascent gas, vital for bailout planning

Oh that makes sense now, really a nice hack, I’ll keep it in mind for when mod2 is round the door — for now all I got is air

It's just a workaround, but certainly effective. Some other planners will give you the ascent gas volume and even assume an initial BO to the diluent when below the MOD of other defined cases (saving the dilout users an extra step).
