Planning a trip to Coz, just before Xmas. Any comments on diving conditions that time of year (we know it'll be more temperate on the surface)? We've been in June before and thought that was incredible.
Thanks!

We spent a nine days in Cozumel last December.

My computer recorded water temps of 79 degrees. The vis was 80'+. The posadas in San Miguel were cool, as was the square. We always meet great people (this trip, divers from Holland, England, Brazil, and the States).

We did have to deal with nortes--wind closed the harbour for three of the nine days. We were happy to get in five dive days, but we did not have a backup plan for the days that dives were canceled.

Headed back in December, Cozumel is addictive, isn't it DrSteve? Are you staying at the Casa Mexicana again? We've got a trip planned for January 15-22 through our LDS, staying at Scuba Club Cozumel. Can't wait! :jump013: Who are you diving with?

Hi Connie!

Sooo addictive! We'd have liked to go elsewhere, but the prices are just too good to stay at Casa Mexicana. So far we are considering "Dive with Martin" or "Blue XTSea," the "Equalisers" didn't quite cut it for me!

If you are going the week before Christmas, you should hurry up and make a decision about who you are going to be diving with. If you are wanting to dive with a smaller operator, they might be close to fully booked. At least contact Christi and see what she has available.
