Decanting O2 => DIN fitting on WIP too tight

Hi - I recently purchased a fill wip to decant O2. The wip works well and we had no problem filling doubles, but ran into some difficulty filling some single LP95s. The DIN fitting on the wip barely screws into the blue steel pro valves on those LP95s. It is just too tight of a fit. The only thing I can think of is that perhaps I have some corrosion that needs to be cleaned up on the valves. I am considering scrubbing the valve threads with some simple green and a tooth brush. To be honest the valves don't look particularly dirty, but I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I have noticed similar issues with some valve and fill whips - usually when one or the other is new. There is obviously a problem with tolerances and incompatible ranges, due to either poor machining or thicker than specified plating.

In most cases the problem resolves itself after the parts wear a bit after severla connections and disconnections.

The problem is when this occurs on an O2 valve or whip - I get real nervous about excess friction and O2 connections.

The other obvious problem is if they will not screw together at all.
