The comment about the 5060s being expensive is true! Crap...More now than when new. I bought a second one last year for $185 brand new on Ebay but the guy refused to ship it. I was hoping to find a used one so I didn't have to change cases, thats not covered by my insurance.
Time to start looking I guess. I need it in a hurry, only two weeks left in PR!

Very sad day for me. My trusty (not realy so trusty) 5060 got flooded today. The good news is it's insured and I get to buy a new camera now!

Bummer! I also use StateFarm. I think it's 1% to insure my camera equipment and dive gear, against ANYTHING!

I have been watching them all. The price means nothing untill the last two minutes of the auction. I was hoping someone had a soource besides Ebay?

Ron, I wonder if State Farm is less likely to haggle with you if they also have your house and cars, etc.

(My cars are with USAA...they beat State Farm just yesterday a few hundred per vehicle, even with the multi-car/ house "discount) I love haggling with insurance brokers. They are soooo happy when I leave the office.

I have State Farm on the house because they are the ONLY hurricane coverage in Hawaii. (did they ever pay those poor Katrina people)

Yea, 1% for anything that happens.

Brian, just suck it up and buy a real camera, for god's sake. You spend enough money on other junk. Drysuits for Hawaii...jewelry...fancy rides...sigh

I mean, you are not a vacation diver...I say it's time to be a big boy.

I own no jewelry, even lost my wedding ring. Dont own a watch either. Drysuits are not "fancy" in 39 degree water......
Besides, id have to learn how to use another camera just as I was getting the hang of this one.

I agree. A lot of these insurance companies are somewhat lacking. I tried to put my camera and some of my other dive gear on my home insurance. I made the mistake of mentioning that I dive and sometimes teach. They made a big fuss about my camera (one I was insuring not even for diving) and a big deal about some of my personal dive gear and that I might be "teaching" with it. Somehow they could not fathom that the gear I am insuring is not for teaching and that the gear I use for teaching is worth significantly less than my non-teaching gear.
